Soon it will be Christmas day. Its in the air, all around us you can feel it. The hustle and bustle of the season. We are just about ready for Christmas, Brian is finishing up the last of the shopping today. Then all i have left to do is get the teachers a little something to show them how much we care for them. Wow, i do love this time of year. But I have to honest i do not love putting up Christmas decorations. To me it is a pain to put up but a joy to look at after it is all said and done.
Brice's Birthday came and gone just like that. Then yesterday we celebrated Brian's birthday. Time is flying by so quickly. To quickly. Where did fall go? Life is just passing us by so fast. Before i know it they boys will be in high school and graduating. That is kinda sad to think about. I do want it to slow down. These boys are so much fun. As any family we have our moments but most of the time it is joy.
I do know this as long as i keep them grounded in the word of god our family seems to flow so much better. We are watching two other little boys today. There parents are out Christmas shopping. Its so much easier to shop when you don't have children.
Hope everyone has a great Christmas and a great new years!

Happy thanksgiving
It is 29 days till Christmas. It is thanksgiving afternoon. I would like to take a nap befor brian and I go to old navy at 3:00 am black Friday . Not going to happen. The boys are up and full of energy. I am so ready to shop. This is the first time in ten years that we have ever taken advantage of balck Friday. So happy for that.
I do miss how things were before Roberts death and when mom and dad moved here to owasso things are not the same.
Guess things allways change.
It's not been really a fun day. Guess I Lon g for a house full of family and friends that cook, hang out, enjoy each other company, and laughter.
There is no laughter here today. I do give thanks to the lord. I am gratefully for my boys.
I do know that in 20 years maybe my house will be full of people and laughter. Untill then it is what it is.
Happy thanksgiving.

Work Out
I get up this AM thinking i would go to the gym and do a class. So no biggie right, i picked body sculpt. Thought to myself i can handel this. How hard can to it be. Oh boy oh boy, i had not done a class in about a month, sense school started and well lets just say my thighs are burning, my calves were burning, my arms were burning, and we won't even talk about my back. And i just thought i was in shape. There was somethings i had to modifie so i could do them. No pain no gain, right? But you want to know the funny part about it, at the end of class i was happy i had done it. If i do the class often enough i should build up endurance , that is if i don't die first.
The past two days i worked out at home on the treadmill. It was just easier due to not really wanting to get out in the rain. So the first day i walked then i ran for about five minutes. That is all i could do with out feeling like i was going to pass out. Then yesterday i walked for most of it and ran for about 10 minutes and i sure can felt it today. No pain no gain!!! If i want to be able to kick the soccer ball around with the boys i need to stay fit. And to be able to eat chocolate :-)
That's about it for today, guess i am off to have lunch with Brian and then come home to clean house and do laundry. Until next time.... Amanda

one month in
It has been a whole month now since we started school. Time is sure flying by. Brice is doing great. And Hunter well we are not sure how he is doing. We will find out on Friday how well he is handling kindergarten. As of today i have started to work with him on learning to read. I think it is going to be a long process with him. Brice took right off when he started to learn to read. Hunter well i am just not sure yet of his learning style. This weekend we are going to get hooked on phonics for him . I think when i was doing daycare i had so many learning toys around to play with and Brice loved them. With Hunter the toys either got broken or passed on and well he is just not into sitting down for a long period of times. He would rather be outside playing and getting dirty. When they say no two kids are ever alike, that statement is so right.
We are now into fall soccer season and that is keeping us pretty busy. Brian was not really thrilled that i enrolled Brice for the fall season. Reason being it means that football would be interrupted. Or more like OU games. But he is getting use to the idea.
Hunter wants to do tee ball this spring. For me my own opinion is that baseball is so boring. BORING!!!! But who am I to tell a little five year old that he can not play a sport because his parents think it is a drag. Nope not me! So we will sit threw the countless hours of practice and games for a season and just pray that he wants to go back to soccer. Or heck we will just do both. But i really want the boys to stick with soccer. for me it is more fun and action packed. Then Hunter said he wanted to also do football. HMMMMM i'm not sold on that idea. Lets wait a bit on that. We might do flag football next fall. we shall see. Gotta love pee wee sports!
I have been volunteering on Fridays at the school. For both boys teachers. For the most part it is fun. But i get these strange looks sometimes of "why is she always here". I enjoy helping out and keeping an eye on both boys and making sure they are being treated right. I just pray that while i am their I am able to be a blessing and to show gods love. And I do love being a blessing. I love showing up with coffee for the teachers or a soda or something small. Or a tiny gift for their class. Now i just got to find out this year if the boys teacher likes coffee. if not then i will have to find something they like. I am sure everyone likes hot chocolate, (right).
We have a soccer game Saturday at 3:00. And on Friday we are going to go to Lincoln football game. It should be a blast as long as it does not rain. It has been raining for many days here. Wow , we might just have to get out our life jackets if it keeps it up. And on Sunday maybe we can get the things we need to start on the bathroom. I want to finish tiling it. Should be fun, right, Nope it really isn't but i am ready to tackle it!!!
Now guess i am off to bed. Untill next time...

Hunters 5 Birthday
WOW where does time go? Hunter turned 5 yesterday on 8/23/2009 (sunday). He is no longer my baby. I know, I know he has not been a baby in a very long time. I still love to hold him and no matter what anyone thinks sense he is my last child, in a way he will always be my baby.

He had a great birthday party. We had a big bash for him here at the house. We rented a Jupiter jump, had a pinyata, nachos , and cake and ice cream and great friends. It was a lot of fun. Then on sunday we took him to chuckE cheese. He had a blast. This little kiddo i don't think could have asked for a better birthday. I just love to see my boys happy. He got everything he wanted and more. Cousin Aaron came up for the bash. I think he had a pretty good time.

1st day of school
I was such a nervous wreck this morning. I was wide wake as soon as the children came in. I knew what had to get done in a timely manner so we would have no hippuc's for time. I was so such an emotional wreck. Brice was excited but he said he really did not like his shirt because it was kinda long. Hunter was very excited, he would have wore his PJ'S and been happy.
I always have to take pictures and boy hunter did not want me to take his pictures. I was like what the heck little dude. Brice was happy smiley for the camera t home. but once i got to the school it was a different story. Brice was just not happy for some reason. I think it was nerves. I am not sure what was up but neither of the boys would take a happy picture for me once we got to school. Hunter wanted to play with the toys and not have to sit down. She wanted all the children to sit down and color. I do hope hunter was able to eat and not get anything on him.
I have an hour to go until school lets out. I made it threw the day, i just hope the boys did. Please pray over favor for them. They will need lots of it. :-)

One more day !

1st day of school pictures of 2008. Hunter going to pre-k and brice 1st grade. How cute they are!
We have one more day till school starts. The kids are very antsy, impatient with one another. Boy they don't know how to go play with one another kindly today at all. They are bugging big time.
We went to the gym today and worked out. Had a nice break. I do pray that they will grow up to realize that staying healthy is very important. I know we don't always eat right but we try to eat pretty healthy. Healthiness is very important in this day and age. I just wish the boys would eat more veggies. I am going to try very hard this fall to get them to eat more veggies. They will eat fruit till the cows come home. IF i could only get their dad to try more then we would be set!
Hunter birthday is on sunday. We are having a party for him on satruday. If all who i invited came we would have around 20+ kids. Hunter has not had a big birthday party yet. I pray that it turns out great. Papa bought a pinyata (sp) now all i have to do it get candy for it, and party favors, and all the decorations, wrapping paper, and a few more gifts for hunter. Nothing like waiting till the last minute on things. Sounds like friday will be a busy day.
Now if i could just wave a magic wand over the back yard and make it spectacular!!

Boys back to school
This is my first post in a very long time, and just wanted to share that Brice and Hunter will be going back to school this week. Brice is going to be in 2nd grade and Hunter in kindergarten. I have so many mixed emotions more so about Hunter than Brice. I know Brice can take care of him self and has been able to for a long time.
Hunter he is my baby. Yes i know he has not been a baby in a long time but its hard for me, i guess to let go. He depends on me still and i love it. He is just now learning how to button his pants and do a belt. If mom is not there to do it, then who is going to do it for him? I know they all have to grow up and learn at some point. I'm not sure it should be now? A another note he is a extremely picky eater. So much so that when he learned to eat french fires i did the happy dance. Brian and I and the grand parents have learned to work around his pickyness. In all reality its just food, and one day he well realize that he is missing out .
Hunter is a very unique kid. Many of times, he is on his own page in a different book than all the rest of the kids. He does not care to much if someone wants to play with him or not. He is going to go play with out ya. He is not too much of my social bug. He loves to play with friends but he takes them or leaves them. More so like he does with food very odd how that works out.
Brice he is my go with the flow kid. He is not a picky eater, loves to have friends, and unlike his brother he will go and find someone to play with where ever we go ( except church camp). For the most part they are both caring children. Love to please, and love to fight with one another.
Brice; when he is with hunter he always is right. Yes Brice we know you are 3 years older than him, but you don't always have to rub it in his face. Oh man and Hunter gets so made. If he could he would spit bullets.
When we went to go back to school shopping the boys are growing like weeds. For shoe size I had to buy Brice size 4 in kids. NO 7 year old should be wearing size four. And Hunter i had to buy 12 1/2. They have big feet for their age. WOW i wonder what size they will wear when they get in 6th grade.
In one week from today Hunter will turn 5. we are having a birthday party for him here at the house. I do hope it turns out great. We are going to serve nachos and then Cake not sure if i am going to get ice cream. The cake should be a wii but not totally sure yet what Cathy will come up with. My only prayer is that we don't get any rain and no children get hurt. We are having a Jupiter jump. It should be loads of fun. I think brian and i will be stress out by the end of the day, but thats all right.
Well guess that is all for now, once they have their first day of school i will post how it went. More so on how mom did. :-) Hope everyone is well. see yall soon. Amanda
